​Influenced by the disciplines of printmaking and graphic design, MiriSue uses limited palette and line-work, coupled with bold, simplified shapes and colors.  Working to capture the essence of fleeting moments that often go unnoticed, she investigates the universal emotions in the human experience.

 

MiriSue’s larger works employ acrylic paint on traditional canvas, while India ink, watercolor and gouache are favored for her smaller works. Occasionally exploring printmaking and collage, she also enjoys the freedom of plein air expression as a unique way to capture travel experiences.

Trained in New York, the artist now lives in South Florida.  Reflecting on the urban grit and tropical tranquility, MiriSue embraces the unique opportunities they present for artistic exploration and expression.
